The background was exciting to create as we were working spontaneously. We applied two or three colours to each section before using a sponge roller to spread the paint. This gave a beautiful mottled effect. This photo was taken about halfway through the process.
The end result is beautiful. It is bright but not too 'pretty'. When I held it up for the kids to see it brought a spontaneous round of applause from the class!
